We’ll explore the best tools that artificial intelligence can offer for your business. Let’s go!

AI tools for beauty business: not just a recent trend

AI might seem like a hip buzzword or a sudden trend originating in the past few years, but in reality it’s been all around us in one way or another for a longer time than you’d imagine. And yes, especially in the beauty industry!

An area where the beauty industry has been spearheading the use of AI is virtual try-ons. Combined with augmented reality (AR), AI has been a highly helpful tool for billions of online shoppers. It helps the customers not only find the best product match for their skin, eye color, or hair, but it also reduces returns as the shoppers have had the chance to check the product out on themselves before the purchase.

AI also powers ecommerce algorithms that analyze customer behaviour, their preferences, and even shopping history to help suggest suitable products to the customers at the right time. Getting to know how AI algorithms work and introducing them into your workflows could prove to be highly valuable to your skincare dropshipping business — I suggest you check it out!

AI chatbots have been around some time too. They can help your customers with a variety of issues, like choosing the right product based on their skin tone, provide quality answers from FAQs, and handle customer service. All of that combined into a single chatbot without the need to employ a full-time team.

As you can see, AI was and is popular when it comes to shaping customers’ behaviours and choices. It’s time for your skincare dropshipping business to embrace AI too! Let’s look at the top tools that can help your beauty or skincare business thrive.

Top AI tools for beauty business owners that want to succeed

AI tool for writing product descriptions

Thanks to the rapid rise and popularity of ChatGPT, different tech companies have doubled-down on their generative AI assistants.

But instead of the widely-known creation of Open AI, I suggest you look into Jasper (jasper.ai). What I like about Jasper is that it’s specifically built for marketing and understands all the nuances that are necessary to make your marketing strategy actually work.

When using Jasper, it gives you a chance to create your own knowledge base, feeding it info about your brand voice. I did it by feeding Jasper some of Selfnamed blogs, so it can learn how we speak and communicate with our readers.

And once you have that, you’ll be able to use a variety of content-specific apps. Essentially, they’re templates that are custom-built to help your generate certain types of content.

One of the templates is specifically for product descriptions. Jasper can create captivating product descriptions in seconds and also allows you to adjust the tone, include specific keywords or target specific audiences — all of which is perfect for your skincare marketing efforts.

Here I asked Jasper to generate a product description for one of our upcoming products — Microbiome Prebiotics Face Mist. I gave Jasper the info I had about the product, as well as the INCI of it. And this is what Jasper came up with.

That’s a very good product description, highlighting the unique selling points for this product and giving customers a clear overview of what they can expect from the product!

AI tool for creating product designs

If you’re still scaling your skincare dropshipping business, discovering Designs AI (designs.ai) might come as a blessing to you.

As a marketing professional, I know how expensive design work can get. And as a complete novice designer, I know how time-consuming designing ANYTHING can come to me. Designs AI can help you create product labels without breaking the bank and the need to hire a graphic designer.

I prompted the tool: “I want to create a design for a product - Icelandic Volcano Body Scrub. I want it to feature a volcano. It needs to feel dark and moody.“ And this is what it gave me! Looks pretty awesome if you ask me.

Now I went to the Selfnamed Design Studio, added the design to the label for the scrub and voila! My product design is ready in fewer than 5 minutes.

Now, if were actually launching a whole body care line, I would probably tinker around with the design a bit more and play around with different styles (Designs AI allows you to do this). But it’s clear from the very get-go that for me as someone who does not design in my free time, this tool is a true lifesaver.

My favorite thing about Designs AI is that it’s SO versatile! You can not only create product and label designs, but also social media visuals, logos, vector graphics, and even video content. A bang for your buck, if you ask me.

AI tool for optimizing SEO and content

Source: surferseo.com

Arguably the best tool for creating skincare SEO-optimized content is Surfer AI by Surfer SEO (surferseo.com).  Personally, I’ve had experience with using Surfer SEO for writing blog articles and I have to admit that I loved all of the tools they offer. They are very intuitive and so user-friendly that writing SEO-optimized content didn’t even seem like hard work at all.

With Surfer AI, their promise is that “your article will be ready in less than 20 minutes and it will be 10 times cheaper than using a dedicated writer”. A SEO-optimized blog article in 20 minutes? Every business owner’s dream!

The way it works is you give the app keywords you want to rank for and in which countries. Let’s say, I wanted to create an article that ranks for keywords related to clean beauty in the US (because why wouldn’t you).

Once I clicked that magic “create“ button, Surfer SEO created a template for me to work in. There I could pick what tone of voice I wanted to work in — I chose conversational. Afterwards, Surfer SEO generated an outline for me (you do have to be a bit patient here since good content takes time, even for AI).

The outline was pretty hefty, and I went through it, adding and removing some of the bullet points I thought were not aligned with what I wanted in the post. I especially liked that I could include URLs to be crawled to include specific info.

And then I simple pressed on the “Let’s write“ button and watched the article come to life in front of me. Well, I am lying a little bit, I actually went to the kitchen to have a sandwich, but you can get the point.

The article came our SEO-optimized (you can see the score on the right side in the screenshot above) and basically ready for publishing. It even created some images for me I could use in the blog post! But of course - whenever creating content with AI, I highly suggest you make changes to it, make it fit your brand and your voice more.

AI tool for creating paid ad creatives

When you’re ready to enter the online advertising space, you’ll inevitably need visuals for your ads. Here I suggest you look into AdCreative (adcreative.ai).

AdCreative generates high-performing ad creatives specifically for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Google Ads. Their AI tool predicts which designs will convert and work best which is perfect for your beauty brand if you want to test different visuals with your products efficiently.

Once I’ve signed up, I can import all my brand assets from the website if I have one or upload them manually, and even connect my ad accounts for easier file management. I then asked its AI to generate some texts for me for an ad about the Volcanic Scrub I created above, chose an image from their extensive stock image gallery (I could also add my own if I felt like it) and sat back to wait that AdCreative will create.

I expected the tool to generate 5-7 versions for me to choose from. But, boy, was I wrong! AdCreative generated HUNDREDS of variations, arranged by their conversion score. All I had to do was pick the ones I liked, download them and use.

AI tool for automating customer support and boosting conversions

Source: zipchat.ai

While traditional AI chatbots are great for answering questions, Zipchat AI takes things a step further by combining 24/7 automated support with smart, proactive sales capabilities. It’s an AI-powered agent that works on both your website and WhatsApp, helping beauty brands engage with potential customers in real time.

Imagine someone browsing your product page at 10 PM and hesitating to check out. Zipchat can detect that moment of doubt and pop up with a helpful message, like a real digital salesperson. It can answer questions in any language, recommend the right products based on user behavior, and help the customer make that final decision — all without needing a human team on standby.

What I especially love about Zipchat is that it helps you cut support costs dramatically. You don’t need a full customer service team or per-seat software. Everything runs through one smart system — and yes, it integrates easily with Shopify, WooCommerce, and more.

Plus, Zipchat doesn’t stop after someone leaves your site. It also helps you retarget customers via WhatsApp with cart recovery, upsell offers, and even personalized campaigns. This tool is a game-changer if you're serious about scaling your skincare business and want to turn visitors into loyal customers — while getting actionable insights from every conversation.

How AI can save time for your skincare dropshipping business

As we’ve established, AI is not something that only big tech companies deal with, it’s now become a part of our daily lives and can even be helpful and accessible tools for beauty businesses. Let’s go through some real and practical examples of how to use AI for your brand.

Automate repetitive tasks

One of the best things about AI is how much it can save your time. It can process large sets of information in seconds or minutes — something that would take days and months for a human to do.

I suggest using AI for similar tasks that require working with a lot of information. For example, have 50 private label products you want to add to your store, but don’t have the time or inspiration to write them all at once? Give a list of your products to AI and ask for it to write descriptions for you!

Improve your marketing efforts

Not everybody wakes up with all the marketing knowledge and best practices in their head. And that’s okay because you don’t have to be a marketing pro to make your skincare marketing effective.

For instance, if you feel like your ads visuals are not performing as well as you wish, just trust AI tools developed by professionals that guarantee high engagement and conversions. And just like that, you saved months of studying principles of high-performing ad visuals.

Personalize your customers’ experience

You can use smart technology to tailor product suggestions, emails, and the overall shopping journey to each individual customer. I suggest you look into these areas as well and check out what AI tools are out there to help with personalizing your customers’ experience.

When people feel like a brand truly gets them, they’re more likely to come back — and often end up spending more over time.

Scale your business without a huge team

In my opinion, one of the biggest advantages of using AI is that you can scale your business without investing your resources into full-time employees, at least during the beginning stages.

Nowadays you don’t need a dedicated copywriter or a designer as you can assign these jobs to your AI assistants.

This gives you the ability to focus on the operational and business side of your entrepreneurial journey.

Leverage AI to future-proof your beauty business

The beauty industry is evolving quickly, and AI is too. The brands that can see all of the benefits like saving time and refining your skincare marketing game will thrive.

When customer expectations are high and their needs change quickly, using AI tools for beauty business can give your brand the edge to stay ahead of your competition and in-line with current trends.

I hope you learned something new in this article and the newly-found AI tools will help your business flourish! Good luck!
